SWAMI ASSISTANT CENTREHEAD (VICTOR)

Being an assistant centrehead of SWAMI entails conducting regular sessions weekly, ensuring that fellow volunteers can assimilate with the environment of volunteer work.

Sometimes new volunteers are not well-versed in interacting with elderly or feeding them so an assistant centrehead can teach them how to get around those obstacles. Heading the planning of the three main annual events with the centrehead is also necessary to bring about a smooth celebration for everyone and a learning journey for the members of the planning committee. The process involves brainstorming of ideas for the event activities, goodie bag items, decorations and liaising with different counterparts such as vendors and clubs that will all come together to finish the event.

Another facet of the responsibilities of an assistant centrehead is being a Group Leader to the Orientation Group assigned. Together with fellow leaders, there will be guidance to about 30 group members in terms of activities and regular sessions, initiating bonding sessions within the group and the portfolio, and updating them on upcoming events.
